School Administrative Unit #53
The Allenstown, Chichester and Epsom School Boards (SAU #53) are seeking a highly qualified Superintendent of Schools to serve the schools and three communities. SAU #53 also serves the communities of Deerfield and Pembroke and those communities are supported by a second Superintendent. The support staff at the SAU Office is shared with the two Superintendents and serves all 5 of the districts from the same office in Pembroke. The successful candidate will benefit from working alongside an experienced Superintendent.
The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for NH certification as a School Superintendent and have experience as a central office administrator. Preference will be given to individuals who have had classroom and building level administrative experience. Experience with budget development and implementation, teacher evaluation and personnel management are required.
The SAU #53 School Board will offer the successful candidate a competitive salary and benefit package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Allenstown, Chichester and Epsom are located in Merrimack County. In Allenstown, there are two schools. Allenstown Elementary School serves grades PK-4 and has a population of 207. Armand R. Dupont School serves grades 5-8 and has a population of 155 students. Chichester and Epsom both have one K-8 school in their districts. Chichester Central School has a student population of 211 and Epsom Central School has a student population of 438. All three communities belong to an AREA and send their students to Pembroke Academy for High School which has a student population of 777.
