EPSOM SCHOOL DISTRICT POLICY

Pledge of Allegiance/Moment of Silence/Patriotic Exercises

It is the policy of the Epsom School Board that recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and completion of a brief moment of silent reflection are daily requirements during opening exercises in all classrooms in the Epsom School District. All members of the school community are urged to stand and to participate. However, all individuals, including those in corridors and other non-classroom areas are required to maintain a silent and respectful demeanor during the conduct of the Pledge and moment of silence.

Further, it is the policy of the Epsom School Board that the National Anthem, either pre-recorded or performed live, will be a part of the opening exercises for each athletic event held at the Epsom Central School.

This policy is enacted in accordance with RSA 194:15-a.
