POLICY

MINUTES TO PUBLIC MEETINGS

 

The secretary shall keep a record of the actions of Board meetings. The minutes of the Board shall be ketp in an official minute book, held by the board secretary, and shall be a record of such minutes including resolutions and motions. Papers not a part of a formal motion may be omitted if they are referred to and identified.

Copies of the minutes of a meeting shall be sent to the members of the Board before the meeting at which they are to be approved. Corrections in the minutes may be made at the meeting at which they are to be approved. Permanent minutes shall be kept at the school building and at the Superintendent’s Office. Approved minutes shall be sent to the Town Library.

All minutes shall be kept in accord with RSA 91A:2/3III, and will be in the custody of the Superintendent, who will make them available to interested citizens on request.

Minutes to public meetings shall at a minimum include the names of those present of the meeting, the time of commencement and adjournment, the topic (agenda item) of discussion, a brief description of the subjects discussed, any action taken by vote of the board, and votes to enter non-public session. Minutes are open to public inspection within 144 hours of the meeting.
