Video is defined by the Deerfield School Board as any purchased or rented pre-recorded tape/disk or any video material self-recorded in accordance with relevant copyright laws.

The School Board recognizes the educational and instructional value inherent in video presentations to students. The Board further recognizes that instructional video must be utilized with prudence and discretion and reflect the age and sophistication of viewers as well as parental and community values.

In order to utilize video materials with an industry-designated age rating higher than the intended audience or if material is not industry-designated with an age rating the teacher should obtain parental permission.
