Extended Learning Opportunities
It is the belief of the Deerfield School District that ELO’s
can be effective tools in helping to meet the diverse learning needs of
students with varying talents, interests, and stages of development.
ELO’s are defined as methods, places and times of learning that
transcend the traditional school classroom and calendar. Such opportunities may include but are not
limited to summer and after-school programs, internships, apprenticeships,
community-based and community service experiences, independent study projects,
private instruction and travel.
ELO’s students may participate in to
supplement and enrich the traditional course of study.
