HIRING OF STAFF POLICY

1) The Deerfield Community School Board initiates immediately a hiring freeze;

2) This freeze includes all new hires including Special Education positions, teaching staff, and all other staff positions (without board approval), but does not include the direct replacement of existing non-certified staff;

3) All half-time positions are frozen at present levels except as above;

4) All increases over $1,500 in present contracts regarding Special Education likewise shall be reviewed and approved by the Board;

5) The Deerfield Community School Board may terminate this freeze by a majority vote of the board at anytime.
