MAINTENANCE & FIRE CODE POLICY

 

 

Maintenance Policy:

 

1.      No plants, liquids or any small objects of any kind, should be on or above unit ventilators, in classrooms.

 

2.      Any tape put on floors must be removed at the close of school that day, unless arrangements have been made with the Maintenance Supervisor.

 

3.      No projects of any type are to remain in hallway overnight, unless arrangements have been made with Bill Fowler.

 

4.      All displays in hallway must be placed only on bulletin board.

 

5.      Any painting on any part of the school, must be approved by Administration first.

 

Fire Code Regulations:

 

  1. All designated escape windows must be clear of all objects.

 

  1. All doors between classrooms must remain clear and have a walkable passage way.

 

  1. No candles, incense, or fire of any type in any part of the school.

 

  1. No hot plates allowed in classrooms.

 

  1. No classrooms will be allowed to have couches, cushioned chairs, cushions, pillows, or beanbags.

 

  1. No large amounts of paper are to be on any fire doors (metal doors).

 

  1. Any projects hung from ceiling will remain for 3 weeks maximum.

 

  1. All scatter rugs in rooms must be approved by the fire chief.

 

  1. Stairwells are not to be used as storage area except in storage rooms.
