1. Classroom experience
2. Experience with operation and maintenance of personal computers and peripherals
3. Experience with educational and productivity software, Windows 95, and Novell
4. Certified Network Administrator
5. Associate’s degree
JOB
GOAL:
To work cooperatively with the Building and District Technology
Committees and the SAU Technology Coordinator to coordinate a comprehensive
educational technology program at
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
1. To coordinate and administer the implementation of the District Technology Plan; facilitate and advise on ongoing revisions of the Plan.
2. To provide support and training of staff required to integrate technology into the total school program, to help teachers obtain, learn, and use educational technology resources to improve their instructional effectiveness.
3. To serve as the liaison between the school, the SAU, and District Technology Committee.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

4. To plan training
opportunities to meet staff needs, including books, videos, offsite visits to
other schools, educational software workshops, etc.
5. To maintain
subscriptions to relevant teaching/technology professional magazine, catalogs,
etc. for reviews and suggestions; and to distribute the same to staff.
6. To research and suggest methods and items to link each teacher’s lesson plans to on-line resources and curriculum related software where possible and appropriate.
7. To coordinate the setup and software installation for new equipment.
8. To perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance and coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades.
9. To perform standard duties of a local area network administrator for the C.C.S. network.
10. To prepare, in cooperation with the Building Technology Team, the school’s technology budget for presentation to the District Technology Committee.
11. To order supplies and equipment as required.
12. To oversee and maintain records of site equipment and resources with the assistance of the Media Specialist, and to administer site software library.
13. To effectively role model the use of instructional technology.
14. To attend training seminars to acquire and update knowledge of technology and integration issues.
15. To chair the Building Technology Team and serve as standing member of the District Technology Committee.
16. To perform other duties as specified by the building principal.
