2006-07 ALLENSTOWN SCHOOL BOARD GOALS

GOAL #1

Promote and achieve high educational standards by:

· Reviewing the current district Mission Statement and revising as appropriate.

· Implementing all requirements of the New Hampshire state minimum standards for education.

· Reviewing and analyzing data from NECAP, NWEA, and other local testing instruments; using data for curriculum planning, professional development and reaching student achievement levels at or above Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) standards.

· Creating task force to research best practices in behavior strategies/programs, with a report to the Allenstown School Board on or before November 15, 2006.

GOAL #2

Alleviate space needs issues in the Allenstown schools by:

· Supporting the efforts of the Allenstown School District Facilities Committee.

· Creating and implementing plans to address current and future building needs.

· Utilizing Trust and/or Capital Reserve Accounts to assist with future facilities upgrades.

GOAL #3

Strengthen School District/Community Relations by:

· Encouraging annual “All Boards” meetings in Allenstown to discuss matters of common interest.

· Meeting with A.R.E.A. districts and Pembroke Academy regularly.
