Student Support

The Student Support Center’s mission is to help students develop the social, emotional and behavioral skills needed to be successful in the mainstream classroom and school.

Its primary purpose it to respond to all students, especially those who exhibit non-compliant, disruptive and/or at–risk behavior directed at self, others, and/or the environment, that threatens positive classroom functioning and school safety.

This is accomplished by providing a safe, structured, supervised and supportive environment where students are sent to be provided with the appropriate intervention and support, until they are able to return to their classroom. This may include daily check-ins, de-escalation, processing, and check-outs.
Regular consultation with teachers and involved staff regarding program interventions will monitor, reinforce and support improved behavior.
