LibraryVillage School Library Kindergarten and first grade students visit the Village library once a week for forty-five minutes. Students at Village may take out and keep a book for one week. A typical visit to the library includes a read aloud, a lesson, book selection and personal reading time. A sampling of lesson topics include: proper book care, library organization, author studies and an introduction to the different types of literature. Hill School Library All students at the Hill School visit the library for forty-five minutes each week. Students at Hill may take out and keep two books for two weeks. A typical visit to the library includes a lesson, listening to a story, book selection and personal reading time. A sampling of lesson topics include: how to use the online public access catalog (OPAC) system, reference tools, the arrangement of fiction and non fiction books, author studies, and the characteristics of various types of literature.
