Pembroke Pride

Dear Pembroke Families,

 

I want to thank all of the parents, volunteers, and PALS members who helped make the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon at Village School such as success. We appreciate the community support. I hope while people are at Village School they take time to notice the beautiful new windows in the gym there. The new windows were made possible through the Honeywell project, which converts energy savings into building upgrades. Look for more of the same at Village School throughout the summer.

 

I also want to thank everyone who worked with Shannon Michaels on the extensive flower garden project at Hill School, both last fall and this spring. It is blooming beautifully and makes such a nice difference in the appearance of our school entrance. I also want to thank our “mystery gardener”…someone anonymously planted a small garden by the back door to the playground at Hill as well…we appreciate all of the people who support our schools in so many different ways.

 

Please take a moment over the next two weeks to visit the Student Art Exhibit at the Town Library during regular library hours. Many beautiful works by our students will be on display there. And finally, next Thursday is the Village Talent Show, from 6:30 to 8:30…we hope to see you there!!

PLEASE NOTE:  June 17^th is NOT an early release day as stated on the June lunch menu.

 

TRANSITION to THREE RIVERS (TRS): On Wednesday, June 4^th, the fourth graders will be going to visit TRS.  Three Rivers School will also host a parent/ family information night on June 4^th. A letter was sent home on Thursday.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gordon, Guidance Counselor, at 485-9000.

 

FOOD DRIVE has been extended till June 6^th.  Please bring in non-perishable items and get a ticket for a quilt.  All donations go to the food pantry.
