Deerfield Community School Library
The aim of the library program
is to assist students in developing a commitment to be informed
decision makers and lifelong learners. The library media center is an integral
part of the school curriculum and the collection has been developed
to meet the needs of students and staff. Resources available include magazines, newspapers, books,
reference materials, audio and visual equipment as well as four
computers with CD-ROM capability and computer databases to aid
students in their research.
The DCS Library contains more
than 10,000 volumes. Students in Preschool through Grade
8 may check out up to two items at a time. The loan period
for books is one week. Students are welcome to renew materials
if they need more time to finish them.
The library media center is
located on the second floor of the school. It is open for use during regular school
hours each day. Contact
the main office for more information regarding after-school
hours.
