Reflections (Why did we do the Veterans Day Assembly and how did it show we care?)

I did the assembly because I care about the families that lost the ones they love, and those who still have their loved ones. We also showed we cared by teaching the younger kids who probably had an idea what Veterans Day is, but were not clear exactly what it is and why it is so special. We also wrote a small skit about the Vietnam Wall. I am glad I can say I taught and reinformed the students of DCS about this great holiday.

The Social Activism Magnet had an assembly for Veterans Day to honor the soldiers who fought for our country. We made a model of the Vietnam Wall and wrote a skit for it too. We put a lot of time and effort into doing this assembly because we care about those who fought in order to save our country.
