- The wall is just a simple thing,
- that brings back memories,
- Of soldiers killed and those unfound,
- But sometimes calms our worries.
- The pictures, cards, and flowers
- that people bring,
- Are tributes to the soldiers whose names
- will forever ring.
- The wall will always represent the sorrow
- that we have.
- The soldiers who have died in war,
- and those we couldn't bring back.
- Those things that people say and do,
- while kneeling at the wall,
- Releases the shadows in their hearts,
- and makes them stand up tall.
- The wall is just a simple thing,
- that brings back memories,
- Of soldiers killed and those unfound,
- But somehow calms our worries.
