About Our School:
Allenstown Elementary School consists of student grades K-4. We have a student Population of approximately 223 and look forward to having the fifth grade with us next year.
From the Kindergarten Team:
Children enter Kindergarten with a wide range of readiness skills. It is the goal of the Kindergarten teacher to ascertain the skills that each child possesses in hopes of bringing the child to a level that will prepare them for first grade.
From the First Grade Team:
The goal for the first grade students is to become active learners in their classroom community. They will develop responsibility for their academic and social behavior. They will learn and practice skills relating to cooperation, respect, compassion, self-disciple and honesty. This will help them in their journey to become life long learners.
From the Second Grade Team:
The second grade curriculum provides instruction and practice in basic learning skills, (reading, writing, computation, critical thinking) in order to strengthen the students' educational foundation. Student will be graded according to their potential and performance. Please be aware of your child's ability level when reading progress reports.
From the Third Grade Team:
In third grade we build on skills acquired in prior grades, and try to encourage each student to work to their own potential, with emphasis in the areas of language, arts and math. We hope that each student will make connections between their everyday life and the value of learning.
From the Fourth Grade Team:
Our goal is to teach our students to be life-long learners. Cooperation, responsibility, leadership, and respect are the expectations we have for the fourth graders. We appreciate the parental support we receive in helping our children achieve these goals.
Specials:
The children enjoy a variety of specials including; Art, Music, Library, Gym, Health and Computers.
