MINUTES OF MEETING

PRESENT: Andrew Turnbull, Bill Yeaton, Barbara Doughty, Patrick Connors, Richard Dougherty, Dave Dziura

1. Call to Order

Board Chairman, Andrew Turnbull, called the meeting was called to order at 9:10 A.M...

2. Pledge of Allegiance

Richard Dougherty led the board in the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Immediate Business

A. Citizen Comments

There were no citizen comments.

B. Staff Nomination/Election

Following a brief discussion by the Board of the search process used to identify a candidate for the position, Dave Dziura, on behalf of the superintendent of schools, placed the name of Cynthia Snair in nomination for a special education teaching contract for the 2005/06 school year.

Barbara Doughty then made a motion that the Board elect Cynthia Snair to a position as special education teacher for the 2005/06 school year. Bill Yeaton seconded the motion.

4. Adjournment

At 9:20 A.M., Andrew Turnbull, hearing no call for further business to be conducted, adjourned the meeting. Mr. Turnbull requested that Board members remain briefly in non- session in order to discuss negotiations issues.

The Board’s next scheduled business meeting is Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at 6:00 P.M.
