B.                 Library Policy

Mrs. Stiles stated that Mrs. Forest would be available to attend the October Board meeting to review the Library Policy with the Board.

C.                 Athletics

The Board asked that athletics policy/handbook be reviewed by Administration, Athletic Director and coaches so all are consistent with the handling of schedules, the acknowledgment of notes from parents and form is established for the supervision of students leaving practices and events with parents or with other responsible parties.  The Board is concerned that consistent communication is established and practiced by all responsible parties.

Does Chichester School District have an outdoor track?  It appears that the current track is short of one mile.  A meet scheduled to take place at Chichester Central requires a two-mile track.  The District will do all it can to prepare for this event.

The Board discussed procedure/policy that any work done on or to Chichester School District property, grounds or plant, must have approval from the Board/Administration before any work begins.

D.                 AYP

It was first reported that Chichester School District had met AYP.  Then the State of New Hampshire recalculated numbers and determined that the special education population didn’t meet the criteria in reading.  Therefore, as a whole Chichester School District didn’t meet the criteria and didn’t make AYP for the 2006-2007 school year.

E.                  PA Buses for October 2, 3, and 4

Ben Brown made a motion to strongly urge Pembroke Academy to make an effort to provide coverage at Pembroke Academy for our students during testing on October 2, 3, and 4.  In the event there is no coverage the Board authorizes payment to Marston Transportation of $83 per bus per day for two buses.
