The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Nancy

Minutes of Previous Meeting
John Poirier made a motion to approve the Chichester
School Board minutes for March 21, 2007 as printed.

Consent Agenda
Ben Brown made a motion to accept $218.73 from
Hannaford’s and Target stores.
Nancy Fraher seconded the motion.
IT WAS A VOTE
Peter Warburton continues to communicate with
Marston’s Transportation regarding future transportation contracts.
C.
Parking Lot Expansion
David Kenneally, road agent, and the school board
continue to discuss the possibility of expanding parking spaces off the Library
end of the building. The cost to fix the
gate in that area is $595 or to expand it to accommodate parking expansion to
two swing arms is approximately $1,234.
The Administration will review the blueprints for
the depth of the septic system, which is also in the area being discussed.

Cost Per Pupil
Peter Warburton presented the board members with a
copy of the 2005-06 Chichester MS 25 showing how the cost per pupil is
consistently calculated for each school district throughout the State of New
Hampshire.
The 2005-06 Chichester School District cost per
pupil was $10,533.37 and the 2004-05 cost per pupil was $9,500.

At 7:46 P.M. Nancy Fraher made a motion to enter
non-public session under RSA 91A:3II (a) for staff nominations.

Following the nomination of certified staff John
Poirier made a motion that the Board elect the nominated staff members to be
offered contracts for the 2007/2008 school year as presented by Peter
Warburton.

Summer meeting dates and other upcoming dates and
events will be discussed at the May 2007 board meeting.
Questions were asked by Nancy Fraher regarding World
Languages and how well our students perform with Spanish I and Spanish II at
the high school when they transition.
Pam Stiles indicated that Chichester students do well at Pembroke
Academy with Spanish I and Spanish II.
She is not aware of how our students transition at Bishop Brady.

Non-resident student request
At 6:50 P.M. Nancy Fraher made a motion to enter
non-public session under RSA 91-A:3II (a) for a non-resident student request.

School Board Chairperson Nancy Fraher announced that no action had been taken while in non-public session.
Karry Gay, a Chichester School District staff member
from Loudon, requested permission for her daughter to attend kindergarten at
Chichester Central School tuition free as a non-resident student for the
2007-08 school year.
Ben Brown made a motion to approve the request of
Karry Gay, staff member from Loudon, for her daughter to attend kindergarten at
Chichester Central School for the 2007-08 school year tuition free as a
non-resident student. As for other staff
non-resident students, the motion is made with the following stipulations: no
transportation will be provided, no special education services will be required
and no extra cost or services to the Chichester School District will be
necessary.
