The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ben

Minutes of Previous Meeting – January 17, 2007
Nancy Fraher made a motion to approve the Chichester School Board minutes for January 17, 2007 as printed.
John Poirier seconded the motion.

Principal’s Report
Pam Stiles presented her Principal’s Report.
Mrs. Stiles reported that the new regulator water
pump is not in yet. Test results showed
that flow from the current water pump was irregular.

Administrative Issues
A.
Review of School District Public Hearing on the 2007-08 budget proposal
The Board reviewed the School District Public
Hearing on the 2007-08 proposed budget.
Preparation was made for the Annual Chichester School District meeting
on March 10 at 9:00 A.M.
B.
Bus Contract
The Chichester School District reviewed the proposed
Bus Contract. Peter Warburton will
review the contract with Marston Transportation Company.
C.
Financial Report
Peter Warburton presented a Financial Report from
the auditor to the Board for review.
D.
Leavitt Trust
Peter Warburton reported that the Leavitt Trust
money is invested by a dictate by Probate Court. The Chichester School District can only
accept the income. The Board asked Mr.
Warburton to inquire as to how the fund is invested and what fees are charged.
E. Pembroke
School District
Christine Faiella reported on the Pembroke School
District meeting she attended on January 29, 2007. The purposed 2007-08 budget was
reviewed. An At-Risk coordinator is
purposed for the 2007-08 school year to work with 10 to 15 students with a
long-term goal to provide an alternative school. Drug and alcohol abuse is also being tallied.
F. NECAP Presentation
Pam Stiles presented a statistical report analyzing
the results of the NECAP testing for grades 3 – 8, taken in October 2006. Mrs. Stiles stated that “Chichester Central
School’s NECAP test scores have shown growth in reading, mathematics, and
writing. The school is solidly above the
state average in students scoring above the “Substantially Below Proficient”
level in reading and math. Our school
has made similar gains in the percentage of students scoring in the upper
Proficient and Proficient with Distinction levels. AYP will be determined later in the Spring,
2007; comprised of scoring by both the entire school as well as each “sub-group”
(special education, socio-economically disadvantaged).”
The results of the October 2006 NECAP tests may be
viewed on the Chichester School District web site.
G. Staff
Issue
At 8:20 P.M. Ben Brown made a motion to enter
non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II (a) to discuss a staff issue.
