MINUTES OF MEETING              

 

PRESENT: Tom Irzyk, Karen LaPlume, Louise L’Heureux, Evelyn Guilbeault, Carl Schaefer, Terri Kenny, Betsey Cox-Buteau, Peter Warburton

 

1.   Call to Order

 

      The Special Meeting was called to order by Chairman Tom Irzyk at 6:10 P.M.

 

2.   Immediate Business

 

A.     Informational Presentation

 

Mr. Warburton, Ms. Kenny and Dr. Cox-Buteau, presented recommendations for budget reductions of $90,031 for the 2007-08 School District Default budget voted on by the town on March 13th.

 

After much discussion, a motion was made by Karen LaPlume, seconded by Carl Schaefer, to accept the recommendations presented. Included in those recommended amounts were:

 

1.       A $60,000 reduction in the purchase of new and replacement computer equipment at AES and     ARD.

2.       The reduction of one student tuition to Pembroke Academy for the 2007-09 school year @$7,907.

3.      The purchase of a copy machine for ARD @2,600.

4.   Other smaller cuts in supply areas in both buildings.

B.     Crossing Guard – Mr. Irzyk

 

After discussion among Board members, a motion was made by Karen LaPlume, seconded by Carl Schaefer to have the Crossing Guard(s) funded by the Allenstown School District for the 2007-08 school year for the amount of $10, 870.

At 7:00 P.M., a motion was made by Tom Irzyk, seconded by Carl Schaefer to enter into non-public session under RSA 91-A:3II(a)

At 7:44, a motion was made by Karen LaPlume, seconded by Louise L’Heureux, to come out of non-public session.

Mr. Irzyk stated that no decisions were made in non public session.
