CHICHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT – CALENDAR

MARCH 6, 2010 – ANNUAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING

Filing period for 2010	January 20 thru January 29, 2010 (RSA 669:19) Must begin on the 7th Wednesday prior to town election and extend to the Friday of the following week.
Citizens Petitions and Collective Bargaining Agreements	No later than February 2, 2010 Must be submitted 30 days before the meeting or before the election date, whichever is earlier. (RSA 197:6) (RSA 32:19-a).
School Board Budget Hearing	No later than Feb. 12, 2010 Scheduled for Feb. 3, 2010, Snow Date Feb. 10, 2010 6:00 P.M. Budget Hearing followed by Chichester School Board Meeting. Must hold its public hearing at least 25 days before the annual meeting. (RSA 32:5)
	Must post notice of its public hearing at least 7 clear days in advance. (RSA 32:5) In calculating clear days, do not count the date of the notice or the date of the hearing, rather there must be 7 days in between.
Post Meeting Warrant and Budget	No later than February 20, 2010 14 clear days before the meeting. (RSA 197:7)
Post Election Warrant	No later than February 22, 2010 14 clear days before election. (RSA 194:1-g)
Checklist Correction Session	February 27, 2010 The Saturday between 6 and 13 days before the deliberative meeting after giving notice as required under RSA 654:27 & 28 (RSA 671:15 & RSA 669:5)
Annual School District Meeting	March 6, 2010 – 9:00 A.M.
Election of Officers	March 9, 2010 (town election)
